AILING WIRELESS

Just a note: After my resolve to begin blogging again, our home wireless crashed for some unknown reason (the modem power light just keeps blinking . . . blinking . . . blinking . . .). Therefore, I am limited to hauling my laptop to the public library and using their free wireless until we figure out what's wrong.

So my blogging is limited to 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturdays. I will be closed on Sundays.

Any techies out there that know what a blinking modem power light means?

I know nothing about tech stuff, but I do know that I have a spare modem sitting in storage, so if that's the problem, you can try mine...s.

Shut down everything. Even unplug it and then plug it all back in. Sometimes it just needs a restart. By the way, I'm Apryl, J9's coworker. I follow your blog religiously!

Hi, Apryl: I took your advice and shut everything down, unplugged everything, and even tried a different power strip--and still no go. I just know that when Tom gets home from his weekend fishing trip (yes, another one!!) that he will walk in and pick up some random blue cable, plug it into a random blue port, and everything will work fine. Isn't that the way it always goes?

And thank you, thank you for reading my blog! What a fine person you must be! :)
