After over 360 blog posts, I have decided to permanently sign off on 2to4aDay and put my energy in a different direction. I’m not entirely sure what direction this will be, but I know it will involve less time in front of a computer.
This blog was an important part of my journey from a productive member of the working class to a lay-about retired person. But it’s time to move on. There’s only so much a person can say about walking 2 to 4 miles a day. And I think I’ve said it all!
So thank you for reading for the past couple of years. Happy trails to us all!

Loved your blog! Best of luck! Still want to stay in touch with you. I am on Facebook everyday, so we can "talk" there.
Thanks for the blog, mom...especially the stories about grandma and grandpa...R
I'm only okay with this if it means you will be working on your book. You need someplace to put your creative writing talent. s.
Thanks for the memories. thanks for reminding me to walk! I'll be going thru withdrawal now because I'd become addicted to a "2to4" fix. DrH
OH no, say it's not so! I am definitely heartbroken. This has brought so many days of smiles and tales of history. Take a hiatus, but don't say you are going to sign off forever. I'll be waiting for a book...or a resuming of the tales of the retired:-)
Thank you for your commentary. I will miss it.

You do realize how much I will miss your wonderful perspective? Where will I go for guidance? To see what is up ahead? That I found your blog in the first place is really a tiny miracle. I will have many older posts still to read that will keep me going for awhile, but then... I can't think of it. I hope your children know how fortunate they are to have your voice in their lives. Good luck 2to4, You are a wonderfully talented lady, whose words I always looked forward to reading.
xoxo

Mom, you touch a lot of lives each blog you write. I will miss your writing as it is my connection to you from far away. I look forward to your book that will be published and loved by millions! :)
I will miss you dearly! Can't wait to hear about upcoming adventures in your life.
Oh rats! But, best wishes and Godspeed.
Heck, if I'd known that 10 people read my blog, I might have kept writing! ;)
I can guarantee you have more than 10 blog watchers-most too chicken to comment but I talk to people and they are reading...and people like your Aunt Ellen who get this via her daughter runs off and brings to her..can't write...untold numbers of lurkers:-) Please re-consider..even a blog a month when it strikes you.. Like Brett Farve -you could come out of "retirement" several times.
It broke my heart to hear you are ending your "blog!" Thank you for all the great reads! You are so talented and your entries have really brightened my days! My Norwegian husband and I will miss them very very much! May God continue to bless you and your family! (I'm hoping you will reconsider sometime soon and start up again, so will keep your site bookmarked!)
Happy New Year! 2 to 4, wishing you a year of many blessings.
Mom, come back to write, I really miss you.
I second that motion. We want to hear about the grandkids. We want to hear about the neighbors..did the boys get to school in the deep snow etc... We need prodding and encouragement in leading healthier lives.
Just checking to see if you started up again. Granadma Nettie
I'm checking in too, just hoping you come back...someday maybe.
