HIKING IN THE WHITE TANK MOUNTAINS

Today, Tom and I put on our walking shoes and went for a hike in the White Tank Mountains, about 15 minutes west of our rented house. We did the Waterfalls Loop (about three miles) although at this dry time of the year, there wasn't any water in the waterfall.

We are enjoying these 70-degree days--perfect weather for walking. And after months and months of walking on the treadmill breathing the less-than-fresh air of the basement, it feels great to clamber around on rocks and worry about wearing sunscreen.

Once again...count your blessings you are not back on the treadmill-chilly below zero temps and mountains of drifts back on the home front today.
